Felted animal portraits by Ameila Santiago.  I love how life-like these
dog sculptures are.  Amelia is also a painter, printmaker as well as a
fiber artist.  Though most of her commissions are dogs, be sure to
check out her other felted animals.
I first discovered her on Etsy years back and this is where you can

Paintings by Brazilian artist Rogério Degaki.  I can’t believe these are not knit or
woven pieces. The paintings are colorful and cartoonish.  Rogério’s inspiration
draws from many sources including  Japanese cartoons, Jeff Koons and Minimalism
which can really be seen in his sculptures.

“Red, Yellow and Blue” public art installation by Orly Genger in Madison Square

I had just taken up needlepoint and was so inspired by her tabloid pillows.   My
